Good game, not as fun as COD4 (23 July 2010)I myself would consider buying COD4 in place of this game. Although there are a lot more features (especially online), the multiplayer is not as fun as COD4's and the campaign is nowhere near as good. The only two reasons to buy this game is because of spec-ops with a friend. Why to buy: - More Weapons, perks, levels, features and the like than COD4. - Graphics are better - More Players online - More realistic than COD4 (more difficult on veteran too) - Spec-ops with a freind is extremely fun Why to think twice: - Campaign is not as good - No DEDICATED SERVERS (this means you cannot chose which map to play or in how full a game you want to play) - Smaller Multiplayer than COD4 - (My opinion) Not as fun gameplay. - EVEN PC users have to PAY for new maps - No mods IF you have no other shooters in this style you will think its wonderful. If you do, you will not be entirely stasfied with it - its as simple as that. don't buy used copies!!!! (22 July 2010)Made the mistake of purchasing from amazon used copy....beware that if the game has been previously played(and registered) it will not accept assessed code , as it says it has been activated/assigned (previous owner).....you have to go through the rig moral of trying to prove that you have purchased the game legally ( ebay/amazon receipts don't work)...because of this i will not now buy a new copy out of principle ...and now hope COD dies on its feet... also the fact that you have to load there sodding software ( i think they refer/call it STEAM) SO BUYERS BEWARE!! (19 July 2010)hello, the game is great , works great on my machine,sp experience is great ( kinda short), mp great too! it has only 1 cons -no ded sv Essential Purchase for PC (19 July 2010)After originally reading the reviews on Amazon,and reading about alleged problems with the PC version I purchased the PS3 version of the game when it was released and thought the game was very good but not amazing. Fortunately over the last couple of weeks I noticed a few reviews from PC users saying to ignore these doomsters who keep slating the PC version, and decided to take the plunge, and thank the heavens I did. The game runs through Steam with no problems and I havent encountered any bugs at all. I have an above avergae spec PC (Windows 7 64 Bit / Nvidia GTX 275 / Quad 2600) but not a monster spec and WOW this version is a corker. It blows the PS3 version away. I just cant believe how much more detail and smoother the game runs. This game now gives Half life 2 a run for the best ever PC FPG game. If you have an upto date PC do yourself a favour, buy the PC version - I promise you, you will not be disappointed. |
