Customer Reviews:

overall an interesting experience (29 July 2010)
the game overall is a timid response to God of War...
- the story remain unchanged no matter what you chose to do in the game
+ the background sound and music are chilling to the bone

Good Fun for 20 hours (09 July 2010)
The game is pretty nice. Graphically impressive and the whole slash n bash is well made. If you're and achievement hunter on xBox its is super easy to go 1000/1000
Only problem is that the game is too short. My first playthrough in which I went after all the collectibles (most of which were in plain sight) took only 12 hours. The second time, where I didn't go after anything except the final achievements, took me < 9 hours on Zealot difficulty (2nd level)
The game has two downloadable DLCs from xBox Live and they are not worth the MS points they cost so if a 'Game Of The Year' edition of this comes out with all the DLCs bundled it would be the best option otherwise go for the simple version.

Typical 3D platform Hack n Slash but worth a Play (05 July 2010)
Dante's inferno is a simplistic hack n slash platform game based loosely on the "Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri.

Graphically this game is quite good, it is not in the same league as some of the Xbox 360 exclusives like Gears of War (1&2) or Mass effect 2, but is pretty decent. There isn't much going on in each level which helps the game keep very high frame rates but honestly this game will not push your xbox very hard in the graphics sense.

Sound is very good and the effects are quite fitting and add quite a bit of atmosphere.

Gameplay is simplistic, basically once you've mastered the combo button presses it is quite repetative to defeat the enemies. Some of the levels are quite interesteing although sometimes they can be a little tedious.

However I would not say this is a stand out title, this is an ok game but you can get very bored with it quickly and it is very linear and very repetative.

One major disappointment I found was that there is no achievement for playing the game through on the harder difficulty levels, that aside, the game is an interesting experience for a single playthrough.

Overall I give this 4 stars.

Plus points:

Graphically quite good
Descent story
Good sound effects
Interesting level design
Some interesting bosses

Negative points:

lack of playability
Quite repetative
Totally linear gameplay.

  Dantes inferno (20 June 2010)
This game is good, Fun little RPG But i did feel it got repetative. And only having 1 weapon throughout the WHOLE Game is very very boring..

Much better tahn most official reviews say! (31 May 2010)
This is a great game! Ok, it's not as good as God of War and it is a short game, but it's still a great game in an amazing setting!
