  Zelda in 360 (10 June 2010)
I just started playing this game a few days ago, but other comments I heard before are right. Darksiders is a more gore, darker version on zelda from N64. I really like the game so far and I don't think that will change. So if you liked Zelda, this is your game.

A fun side game amongst many epic titles... (28 April 2010)
I bought this game brand new amongst all the mysterious advertising about it back in January. I didn't know what to expect really having only watched a couple of gameplay videos and the main advertising intro video of the actual game.I have to admit I've been pleasantly surprised. As someone used to the big titles of Battlefield,Halo and Call of Duty this was a nice interim game that doesn't take itself to seriously. It knows its not the next big title of the year and doesn't try to be. It has solid tried and tested gameplay that many will find themselves comparing with other games. The dynamic of the character is as you find in several games these days. Prologue level with all your powers, lose them and then spend a large proportion of the game regaining them. However with the addition of puzzles requiring specific tools rather than too much out of the box thinking the game rarely gets dull enough to switch it off if it gets dull at all. A couple of these tools in hindsight do seem lifted directly from other games but they do somehow fit in this. There's a bastardised version of the grappling hook from Just Cause 2(even though JC2 was released afterwards),a glaive not too dissimilar from the one used in Dark Sector and basterdised version of the portal gun from Portal(it even has blue and orange portals, lol). Most levels are spent fighting toward getting one of these weapons, acquiring them and then having to kill the end boss in way that can only be done with said level specific weapon. Afterward you will find areas being revisited because they were inaccessabile until you got this weapon or that one. On revisiting these places however you will garner more powers or currency in the form of souls to buy new powers. There is a fast travel system unlocked relatively early in the game so as not to be running through all the dark access areas to get here and there. The saving system is brilliant and the 360 achievements are all pretty standard. To complete the game 100% I took roughly 24hours on normal skill.

A very enjoyable adventure game with a fun story and characters and i hope they make a sequel sometime soon.

  Brilliant (26 April 2010)
God, I feel bad only giving this 4 stars; it's a 5 star game, but a 'thin' (to say the least) story line gives it a 4. Very god of war in its' gameplay, and the story is great, but just needed a little more explaining. All that said, great gameplay with a stunningly vast, open world to explore. And awsum charactors. I mean sick as hell.

  Good Stuff! (26 April 2010)
I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this. I liked the ideas of it but wasn't sure I'd like the result.
So glad I ordered it now. The game is , as far as I'm concerned pretty much perfect. The environments are great , while not technically the most powerful game ever , the art style makes it stand out(normally the opposite). They did a good job of creating atmosphere.
It's nice to see a game like this with an original and powerful story. I was expecting it to be a mediocre "Rawr I kill stuff" storyline. In the end I couldn't stop playing and can't wait for any future returns to the Darksiders world.

The combat was brilliant. The game's gory at times but not in a "this is the bit were you're meant to go ugggh!!!" way. The challenges were fun and once again were much more intelligent than I expected , some very intelligent , real brain tests. Overall the design felt very carefully thought out , creative and intelligent.
You can really tweak the combat to match you , and decide what you want , and when you want it. The more you play the better you will get. The combat forces you to learn and rewards you when you do.
You get it all , from 1 on 1 , to 1 on giant to full scale battles. Variety is plentiful here. Every weapon is great and all equally useful so it really comes down to preference. The enhancements and collectables make for an even more personally suited and replayable game.
Ruin is a joy to use , the mounted sections feel fluid and give a great sense of power. Best horse mechanics I've seen in a game.

War is a brilliant main character. Surprisingly deep and very likable for a fairly hack and slash game. The twisted ideas and creativity of it all really pull you in , alongside some of the best art design I've seen. Some of the places you get to go are stunning.
Mark Hamill's Watcher character is great , providing humour at times , advice at others , lovable in a sort of "I hate you!" way.

Overall , it's fun , it's well made , it looks great , it plays great and it has a great story. If in doubt , give it a shot:) I did and never regretted it once.
