  Fun Episodes (23 July 2010)
I had rented this game as I was dubious whether it lives up to it's reputation, GTA IV was a big letdown for me in terms of story, drive there, drive here, kill him, kill them etc etc. Went on for hours, just mindless driving from A to B with a relatively confusing plot to accompany the lame driving about, the characters were empty and only a few stood out for me personally, Roman and Irish, that was about it.

The episodes however, do live up to their reputation TLAD was an alright add on and at first it was relatively stale, there were little mishaps in graphics that were clearly evident but could easily be forgiven for being so small. As I have said the start was slow but the story slowly continues to grow including more and more characters, you even meet some of the other characters from GTA IV and the Ballad of Gay Tony, same for the Ballad, you see the bikers and Niko etc. Some of the missions overlap and you end up seeing each other as well, making you laugh at the little references that have occurred in the past if you have finished both the GTA IV and the Lost and Damned. The bikes were relatively fun but what really bugged me was the fact that default radio station every time I got into a car was thrash metal, I love rock but thrash metal is not my sort of thing - if there is a way to set a different default station it would make life a whole lot easier, unless of course you like that sort of thing.

Anyway, the Ballad has a unique story with interesting twists, the dialogues are funny and often engaging, making you watch the cut scenes most of the time. The addition of different weapons into the mix makes the game more exciting and a tad bit varied to its predecessors, if you did not like GTA IV for being too funless and just soulless in general you might like this, in this instalment you are able to Parachute as well as drive an APC and I am only a third into the Ballad whereas I have finished TLaD. Overall if you have enjoyed GTA IV you will definitely enjoy this if you hated GTA IV avoid with passion but if you were neutral on the subject of GTA ie - it was alright, nothing special you might find these episodes a refreshing and interesting aspect.

At least worth a rental, I would give this game a 9/10, ditching a 1 as the long driving around is still present in some aspects of the game, just get taxi to speed things up a bit.

GTA: Episodes of Liberty City (20 May 2010)
I bought episodes of liberty city because I loved GTA: IV and since this was sort of like what you could call an add on.
The game features Lost and The Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, I wasn't quite sure how it would work with IV but as you start the games it gives an intro of how you have seen the main characters of each game, I won't ruin how.

Graphics of both games are amazing, they aren't as long as IV but you can tell with the graphics, sound and story play the makers - Rockstar, have put a lot of effort and time into the games.

They are both rated 18 you understand why because of some of the sexual content in both games are not for younger players.

Lost and The Damned

Not my favourite of the two but it was still good to play, it is about Johnny Klebitz a biker one of the members of "The Lost". New weapons are in this game that you didn't get in IV and newer music of course it being a biker game it is metal. Game play wasn't as interesting as it could have been nor where the characters although I did like the main. In this game you work alongside Niko in a few missions. Side missions are to do with the biker theme.

The Ballad of Gay Tony

My favourite one, you play as Luis Lopez who is the assistant to Tony Prince who is Gay Tony who runs a nightlife empire. I found the storyline much more interesting to play, characters more interesting and would play again.
Again there are new weapons different from both, new cars and music. You feature more characters but most you have already seen in the original game. In this one you work more against Niko than with him. Side missions are nightlife theme.

Over all I enjoyed this game and if you enjoyed the previous game I would definitely recommend you buy this. Graphics, sound and story were done brilliant.

Nothing revolutionary but good, not particularly clean, fun (15 May 2010)
First things first, if you didn't go for GTA 4, don't bother with this, it is most definitely more of the same. You'll spend your time in the same city, driving the same cars and even meeting some of the same people. That said, in my opinion this is one of it's greatest strengths, Liberty City is one of the finest cities you'll ever have the pleasure of not really walking around in.
So enjoy it, wander through Algonquin, play a round of golf, drive a french man to his dominatrix, jump out of a helicopter and land in a child's paddling pool, start a gang war or just punch a police officer of a bridge. The city that never sleeps is the perfect place to spend relaxing weekend and meet a few memorable people, plus there's a helicopter with rockets in it.

  Entertaining! (12 May 2010)
This games okay if your the type of person that likes brainless bashing and whizzing about around city streets. There are a lot more accomplished games out there and of a far better quality.

Once you get out of a vehicle/bike the characters are difficult to manouevre/shoot etc. Its okay if your bored but nothing more!
