  Good But...why so short? (01 November 2008)
I got this game for my birthday and thought great! I had seen it on the internet and thought it looked fantastic. When I played it I was still thinking this is awesome. You may be thinking why the 3 stars then? Well I played it and completed it in just a few days, less than 8 hours to be precise. During these hours you can use the wii's motion sensitivity quite well but after 3 or 4 levels you're thinking is there ever going to be a differing level? I mean you go to a planet kill the natives and then kill a boss. Then you go back to your ship get a new boss to kill from Lord Vader, go to their planet kill the natives and then kill the boss. And after this there is nothing to do. Yes there is a duel two player mode but all you have to do is block all the time then when your opponent isn't blocking force lightning him/her. I really enjoyed this game while it lasted, albeit for a few hours. So if you want to play this game go to a friends house and play it there(on 1 player mode mind).

Not much to do (01 November 2008)
When this game came out, I was really excited however when I got it there very little you could do, for example single player only consists of a story mode and that's it. Another point is the fact that you can't re-do any missions without playing through the game again, costume and lightsaber variables are very limited plus it's extremely hard to pull of certain moves e.g. ground slam which involves jumping then swinging the wii remote down. I can only pull this off a couple of times which is annoying when surrounded by enemies and often get shot as a result. I would suggest anyone buying this game are better off with the psp version because there are extra missions based on scenes in the original trilogy which sounds a hell of lot more fun then just playing story mode

  Buy Second-Hand (25 October 2008)
This game is another repetitive game in the star wars franchise. i completed it in under a week and once finished there isn't much to do. the only multiplayer is dueling which you do while playing single player.
in the last level you can choose to attack the emperor or Darth Vader, but other than that there are no other choices in the game.
it is very difficult to collect all of the pointless Jedi Holocrons, and after so many upgrades the game is too easy. it focuses on the force too much. by the last level i was pushing and shocking everything and only used my lightsaber in duels (which get very repetitive), boss battles (which also get repetitive) and in dire need. even when i did use my lightsaber, the game was not very responsive with my wiimote actions.

In my opinion the only two very decent star wars games were: Rogue Squadron 3 Rebel Strike, and Knights of the Old Republic. the latter is an RPG so you are able to make choices depending on whether you want to be a jedi or sith lord, and you can see how your character is good or bad. if the player chooses selfish and violent actions then the characters eyes appear to turn yellow, and their complexion more scarred.

I sold my Knights of the old Republic, but in my opinion i think that if they had made the force unleashed more rpg with choices for the player and less force orientated it might have done better.

i rated the game 3 stars for the amount of force powers and the storyline. it does tie in with the films, but the levels themselves are repetitive: kill grunts, kill minor boss, kill more grunts, kill big boss, then sometimes kill even more grunts befor facing off a jedi.
overall the game is too easy and doesn't give the player enough choice, however, if you can find a cheap option for c.£10 then its worth getting to see for yourself

  Rent it (07 October 2008)
Rented it last week and completed it within days. Far too easy and repetitive. Loved it at the start but looking back, it really not the game I hoped for. I recommend renting it for a couple of days before spending your hard earned money on it!

Buy it second hand (07 October 2008)
There'll be loads of copies of this floating around second hand because it's the easiest game ever to complete so just buy it for £10 ($20) as it's not worth the rrp.
The game itself is actually not that bad, yes it's repetitive and annoying in places, yes, the camera is an absolute pain at times but in truth it's actually very playable but way too easy and very, very short. All in all I feel like Lucas has yet again left me disappointed and ripped off but I guess I'm getting used to the feeling.
