One of the best games I've bought this year! (05 September 2010)
Fantastic story, great concept, brilliant two player story and gameplay. There's a few gripes i have like "why isn't here any night vision" (don't worry, you have sonar goggles which are great.. but splintercell without night vison.. come on..) but I thouroughly enjoyed the game, a nice break from xbox live multiplayers. I would say it's a deecent length could be longer, but i've player much shorter titles.

Overall, a great breath of fresh air and a nice new take on the splintercell series would reccomend without hesitation.

The BEST Splinter Cell Game To Date (04 September 2010)
Wow, was I surprised. This game just threw out the old mechanics and revolutionised the stealth genre. By SC Double Agent I felt that the mechanics were becoming stale. It is nice to see Ubisoft deciding to make the game feel so fresh and not churn out the same old rubbish again like many other franchises *cough*Call of Duty*cough*.
The game adds something not found in previous SC games - Story and emotion. I felt very involved in the game and story. VERY well done Ubisoft. I liked the story as well as the epic ending, but I also liked how the co-op mode (which is also amazing) acts as a prequel to the single-player campaign events.
I have read alot of complaints about the "mark and execute" move making the game too easy. It is only rewarded for melee kills and can't be spammed. If people find that it makes the game too easy - then don't use it then!
Just wow. Buy this game if you're a SC fan.

Follow the adventures of Dan Fisher (01 September 2010)
Anyone who enjoyed previous Splinter Cells should probably avoid this. It's a very lush production, with good visuals and sound, but it has virtually nothing in common with the previous games in the series.

It's a fairly competent shooter, but not excellent - most of the game can be passed by exploiting bottlenecks in the linear levels, mowing the baddies down one by one from doorways. It's one of those games that gives you a lot of different gadgets but contains one dominant strategy, rendering many of the available tactics pointless. The sneaking element is minimal, so much so that the majority of the game involves fending off player-triggered ambushes. The single-player is short, and uneven.

The story, if it matters, is midjudged nonsense.

Don't bother with this if you are a fan of the series.

Short and simple! (19 August 2010)
Ubisoft were very fortunate to release 'Splinter Cell: Conviction' as an XBOX360 only exclusive as it limited this awful game to only one format. Compared to MGS4 and the Uncharted series on the PS3, 'Conviction' represents a clear step backwards in gaming development. Indeed MSG4 and Uncharted blow Conviction out of the water in terms of sheer playability, characterization, storyline and art - both ooze quality. The same cannot be said of Conviction! I went out and bought an XBOX 360 specifically for playing Conviction - A HUGE mistake which I won't be making again. I sincerely hope Ubisoft restrict any future Splinter Cell title to the XBOX360, if only to spare innnocent gamers from other systems from wasting their time and cash on this half-hearted excuse for a game. I for one won't be lured again, into wasting my time and money on a sub-standard gaming experience!

The best of the series (18 August 2010)
I have played all the games in the Sam Fisher range. This is by far the best and most playable, that's the storyline and then you throw in the online games and it makes it even more playable (as long as you have someone sensible online to play with!!!) Well worth buying and keeping!
