| ![]() | Customer Reviews:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You really must have Xbox Live if you own a 360 (30 October 2008)Its simple, without xbox live gold membership your gaming experience is limited. You will not be able to play any online multiplayer or online coop, you will be left with just the single player campaign. Online COOP is the future of gaming and all the big developers and rushing to add to compatibility. This is bringing people together like never before and effectively removing the single player aspect of gaming ( of course you can still use it). The service overall is excellent but i recently had a one hour anger attack at the customer service people because i was banned with no reason given. I don't buy into the new idea of buying movies over xbox live, a bit to much for me but i can see why people would see the benefit. Compared to PS3 and Wii services this is by far the easiest interface to use, its easily the best as well with all the features. Overall, this service is essential if you want to get the best from your gaming time. I would be concerned if i had young children playing it though because sometimes the language gets colorful but parents need to properly supervise there children while they are using it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() a rip off ! (27 September 2008)don't get me wrong xbox live is essential and great fun. But ea games do not work if you are under 18.Yet the biggest problem is its £40.00. Playstation 3 online services (playstation network) is free and so is wii. wii is inferior to xbox in online play but ps3 is the same quality online yet free. So why do 360 owners have to pay? A COMPLETE RIP OFF! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Necessary (02 September 2008)Xbox Live is essential to get the most from your xbox. Although it is 40 pounds the game play is seamless unlike archaic PC and Playstation online games where you have to connect to various servers. Microsoft funds and runs all the game servers so they are virtually lag free and rarely down. With the new system you don't have to ring any more to cancel the account if you register with this card on your xbox 360 console, your account will just revert to silver after the 12 months which is free. If you're buying this product for the first time I suggest you register a silver account on your xbox first to make sure that you can connect to the service. Just set up a silver account which is free to see if it works, and if you have a new xbox you will get a 1 month free trial to see if you like it. Defintely a must buy for any gamer, serious or just for fun! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The best service out there (16 August 2008)Definitely worth the £35 Its the best online service of any of the current consoles by a country mile. If you have an xbox 360, this is a must buy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Xbox Live- Essential (28 May 2008)Personally i always thought why buy an expensive Xbox 360 console if you're not going to purchase Xbox Live. I have a PS3 and can tell you that this is the best online service, you can message, private chat, video chat, recommend online content to friend and much much more. When playing a game on live its like unlocking the other half of that game and you really get you're £40 worth then. I would also recommend a microphone if you plan to game with friends. Xbox live is a must have for you're 360! |
